Performance

Background

Performance marketing is a powerful way to drive measurable results and efficiently reach your target audience. It's great for achieving specific business objectives rather than just increasing brand awareness.

My career began with performance marketing, specifically in e-commerce, with the launch of Yahoo! Shopping in 1999 (yes, I'm that old) and eventually guiding me to Overture.com, where I cut my Paid Search teeth. I worked on exceptional national brands and campaigns that allowed me to hone my skills and gain valuable experience laying the foundation for everything I accomplished today.


As I gained more experience and drove results, I naturally branched out into other areas of performance marketing, such as display advertising, social media advertising, and landing page optimization. In these areas, I realized the importance of creativity and targeting in driving conversions, as well as the importance of tracking and analyzing multi-channel.


This basis of analytics and creativity led me to other marketing disciplines such as Content, Product, and, ultimately, Brand marketing, where applying performance attributes with the willingness to be creative proved invaluable.
